Networking

It is great for me to share with you the wonderful experience to have in our network TIME TO START CHANGING this group of interesting, power and encouraged women. We had our first big get-together at the Carlton Tivoli Tennis Club near Lake Lucerne. Claude the „chef de cuisine“ prepared us glamorous finger food served with a fabulous and cold wine from Spain.

Two months, 5 first little meetings and 60 members later, we meet almost all together for knowing better each other. Networking is very interesting! We can find tones of inspirational stories and discover various ways to see life.

Life is too boring if we try to solve problems alone. I remember  my mom telling me, „two heads think better than one“ and that is definitely true.

My 11 years old daughter started in a new school in Immensee, a little town in another canton. I knew someone in our network had a sister there; I called her and asked for help. Immediately she took us to her sister who invited us to the Swiss traditional Kaffee und Kuchen (cake and coffee). She showed us the little town and introduced us to other people. My daughter now feels better about studying far away from home (you must know that in Switzerland the majority of the students walk to school) and, most importantly, she knows that if there is an urgent problem, she has someone to turn to.

In another occasion, I took my daughter to another network member who is a well-known clothes designer in Lucerne. She invited us to her wonderful city atelier and introduced us to many details about her profession. This experience helped my daughter, who dreams of being a designer, to have more intruments to take desicions about her future.

In this short time, I also could find for me a lot of answers and know-how that has already been helping me a lot. I know now a doctor that I can trust (and she speaks Spanish!!) I know a good hairdresser (trust me, it took me a long time to find someone who cuts my long hair the way I like it). I meet a teacher whom I can ask about Swiss school matters (sometimes for me difficult to understand), a gardener,  a florist and an organic farmer woman (for my „green“ issues, my new hobby!), a lawyer, a musician, a photographer, etc, -and of course, others entrepreneurs and mothers like me. I am not alone now,  I found good and fascinating people to share my life with. Priceless!
